Sidewalk oracles

When my book about reading the signs came out, I searched to see what else had been written on the subject, but I couldn't find much. It wasn't until several years later that I discovered Robert Moss's excellent book “Sidewalk Oracles”. I was very excited about it, I read his in-depth theoretical analysis of signs and stories about "coincidences" that have happened to him. 

Somehow they reminded me very vividly of a moment in my pre-bookwriting life at Amsterdam airport when I met a poster with a polar bear, a fish frozen in an ice cube and the text: “Opportunity doesn't always arrive gift-wrapped”. I went to look for it in my book of stories about signs, opened the book in a random place - and came right to this story! Magic, amazing!

Teeäärsed oraaklid

Kui mu märgilugude raamat ilmus, otsisin, mida sel teemal on veel kirjutatud, aga palju ei leidnud. Alles mitu aastat hiljem avastasin Robert Mossi suurepärase teose “Sidewalk Oracles”. Olin sellest suures vaimustuses, lugesin tema põhjalikku teoreetilist käsitlust märkidest ning lugusid “kokkusattumustest”, mis on temaga juhtunud. 

Kuidagi tuletasid need mulle väga eredalt meelde ühe mu kirjanikuelu eelse hetke Amsterdami lennujaamas, kui kohtusin plakatiga, millel jääkaru, jääkuubikusse külmunud kala ja tekst: “Võimalus ei saabu alati kinkepakendis”: Läksin seda oma märgilugude raamatust otsima, avasin raamatu juhuslikult kohalt - ja sattusin täpselt selle loo juurde! I went to walk the dog in the morning and saw that there was a cute turquoise Citybee Mini rental car in front of the house. I thought, yes, I could take it and make a few necessary rides. I was walking my dog ​​in the park and noticed that someone had painted the number 126 in turquoise color on the trash can I often walk past. 

When I got back to the car, it turned out that the car's number is also 126. Strange. Anyway, I took the car and we had a great time together.

Läksin hommikul koera jalutama ja vaatasin, et maja ees on nunnu türkiissinine Citybee Mini rendiauto. Mõtlesin, et oo, selle võiks võtta ja paar vajalikku käiku ära teha. Jalutasin koeraga pargis ja märkasin, et prügikastile, millest tihti mööda jalutan, on keegi maalinud türkiissinise värviga numbri 126.

Kui olin koera tuppa viinud ja auto juurde tagasi jõudsin, siis selgus muidugi, et ka auto number on 126. Müstika. Igatahes võtsin auto ja veetsime koos suurepäraselt aega.

Wait a little

I walked through the living room late at night, thinking about a dream that had already formed into a rather concrete project. My husband was watching TV and at the moment I walked by, the phrase "Just a second!” was on the screen.

The universe said wait a minute, everything will come to you?!

Oota natuke

Jalutasin hilisõhtul elutoast läbi, mõeldes ühe unistuse peale, mis oli juba üsna konkreetseks projektiks vormunud. Abikaasa vaatas telerit ja mu mööda jalutamise hetkel oli ekraanil lause “Just a second!”.

Universum ütles, et oota üks hetk, kõik tuleb Su juurde?!

Grade A

I saw A's everywhere at the end of the year. The pieces of butter ended up on the sandwich in the shape of the letter A, one day while talking on the phone next to a wall, I suddenly discovered an A painted on the same wall... It served as a reminder to do more of your A-category activities, which you enjoy the most. Of course, the letter A can also be taken simply as recognition - like an A corresponding to the grade "5" at university. :)

A-tähed

Nägin aasta lõpus kõikjal A-tähti. Võitükid sattusid võileivale A-tähe kujuliselt, ühel päeval suvalise seina kõrval telefoniga rääkides avastasin äkki samale seinale maalitud A… Mõjus meeldetuletusena, et tegele rohkem oma A-kategooria tegevustega, mida kõige rohkem naudid. A tähti võib muidugi ka lihtsalt tunnustusena võtta - nagu ülikoolis hindele “5” vastavat A-d. :)
