CARES FOR ME

We were on a trip to Brussels. The walls of the Hilton Grand Place hotel were decorated with cool paintings, one of which was of a slightly angry brunette girl with pigtails, with the text “Cares for me”. 

It resonated somehow, because my husband and I had been through some pretty rough times, but I was still moved by how he cared for me and looked after me.

Hoolib minust

Olin kallimaga reisil. Brüsseli Hilton Grand Place hotelli seinu kaunistasid ägedad maalid, neist ühel natuke pahase olemise brünett patsidega tüdruk, koos tekstiga “Hoolib minust”.

Resoneerus kuidagi, sest olime kallimaga üsna tormistest aegadest läbi tulnud, aga mind jätkuvalt liigutas, kuidas ta hoolib minust ja hoolitseb mu eest.

THE SECRET TO ALL BEAUTY

On a trip to Luxembourg, we happened to find the oldest pub there, which had a lot of cool old photos and inspirational text on the wall. 

I especially liked two: one titled “Wine Diva,” where a beauty with a wine glass stated that life is too short to drink cheap wine, and the other, where next to the silhouette of a woman stretching her legs in a shallow champagne glass had the text: “Happiness is the secret to all beauty.”

Kogu ilu saladus

Läksime kallimaga reisile. Luxembourgis sattusime juhuslikult sealsesse vanimasse pubisse, kus oli seinal palju ägedaid vanu fotosid ja inspireeriva tekstiga pilte. 

Mulle meeldisid eriti kaks: üks pealkirjaga “Veinidiiva”, kus veiniklaasiga kaunitar nentis, et elu on liiga lühike, et juua odavat veini, ning teine, kus madalas šampanjapokaalis jalgu sirutava naise silueti juures oli tekst: “Õnnelikkus on kogu ilu saladus.” 

WOMEN'S DAY, WITH LOVE

I've always considered how I feel on holidays to be an indicator of where I am in my life.

Women's Day after starting a new project and a week of editing my next book was great: by the evening, I had flowers in vases at home from four awesome men, and my sweetheart, who I had just thought hadn't told me he loved me in a long time, came with a big bouquet of roses, champagne, and a box of chocolate hearts with the text: "With love!”

Naistepäev, armastusega

Ma olen seda, kuidas ma end tähtpäevadel tunnen, ikka indikaatoriks pidanud, kus omadega elus olen. 

Naistepäev pärast uuel töökohal alustamist ja oma järgmise raamatu toimetamise nädalat oli igatahes super: õhtuks oli mu kodus vaasides lilli neljalt ägedalt mehelt ning armsam, kellest olin just mõelnud, et ta pole ammu öelnud, et armastab mind (ikkagi eestlane), tuli suure roosikimbu, šampanja ja šokolaadisüdamete karbiga, millel tekst: “Armastusega!”

EVERY CHOICE COUNTS

While visiting the capital, I saw billboards everywhere with the text: “Every choice counts!"

It immediately felt like a sign… because I was at a crossroads in both my professional and personal life.

Nägin Tallinnas käies kõikjal reklaamplakateid tekstiga: “Iga valik loeb!”

Pani kohe mõtlema… kuna olin just teelahkmel nii töises kui ka isiklikus elus.
